Making bread using Backmischung in Germany

Anyone who knows nothing about making bread can also make bread now.

In German Supermarkets, there is a product called ‘Backmischung,’ which is basically a mix of all the ingredients in the right proportions. You just need to follow the instructions on the packet, which typically involve adding a few extra ingredients like yeast and water to make the bread dough. If you follow the method correctly, the results are great.

Here are some pictures of the bread mix that I used and the bread that I made. It involved adding extra yeast and kneading the dough, then resting it for about 30 minutes and baking for another 30 minutes.

It is easy and hassle-free!
