Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Spatula
  • Air Fryer

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Whole Moong Dal with Skin; sprouted
  • ⅓ Cup Chana Dal
  • 3 tbsp Olive Oil
  • ¾ tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Sugar
  • ⅓ tsp Citric Acid
  • ⅓ tsp Black Pepper Powder
  • ⅓ tsp Garam Masala
  • 1 tsp Coriander Powder
  • ½ tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • ½ tsp Dry Mango Powder (Aamchur)
  • 2 tbsp Finely Chopped Fresh Coriander Leaves

Instructions

  • Mix moong dal sprouts with 2 tbsps of oil.
  • Spread it evenly on your air fryer basket along with fresh coriander leaves. Air fry at 200 deg C for 5 minutes. Toss it, add 1 tbsp of oil and then continue air frying for another 5 minutes at the same temperature.
  • After 5 minutes, check if the dal has become crispy. If not, continue air frying. Note that after this point, you must remove the air fryer basket and check the dal every 30 seconds. If you don't check it frequently, it can burn quickly, and the namkeen will not taste good. Once the dal becomes crispy, turn off the air fryer. Add salt, sugar, citric acid and all the spices. Mix well.
  • Crispy and crunchy sabut moong dal namkeen is ready.
