Savoury Quark and Wheat Flour Vadas

Ingredients
  

  • 250 gm Refined Flour
  • 250 gm Quark
  • 230 ml Water
  • ¾ tsp Salt
  • 2 Medium-Sized Onions; Finely Chopped
  • 3-4 Green Chillies; Finely Chopped
  • 10-15 Fresh Curry Leaves; Finely Chopped
  • 1 tbsp Finely Chopped Ginger
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • Finely chopped Coriander leaves (optional)
  • 1 Pinch Baking Soda
  • Oil for frying

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine flour, quark and water to make a smooth batter.
  • Add onion, green chillies, cumin seeds, curry leaves, ginger, coriander and salt.
  • Mix. Cover and rest for 10 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a pan (for deep frying).
  • When the oil becomes medium-hot, add baking soda to the batter. Give it a thorough mix and drop small portions of the batter into the oil.
  • Fry them on medium heat till they turn golden brown.
  • Serve with ketchup or chutney.
