- 250 gm Refined Flour
- 250 gm Quark
- 230 ml Water
- ¾ tsp Salt
- 2 Medium-Sized Onions; Finely Chopped
- 3-4 Green Chillies; Finely Chopped
- 10-15 Fresh Curry Leaves; Finely Chopped
- 1 tbsp Finely Chopped Ginger
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
- Finely chopped Coriander leaves (optional)
- 1 Pinch Baking Soda
- Oil for frying
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, quark and water to make a smooth batter.
Add onion, green chillies, cumin seeds, curry leaves, ginger, coriander and salt.
Mix. Cover and rest for 10 minutes.
Heat oil in a pan (for deep frying).
When the oil becomes medium-hot, add baking soda to the batter. Give it a thorough mix and drop small portions of the batter into the oil.
Fry them on medium heat till they turn golden brown.
Serve with ketchup or chutney.
