- 2 Cups Rice Flour
- ⅔ Cup Besan (Gram Flour)
- 2 tbsp Butter; for room temperature
- 1½ tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
- 2 tsp Sesame Seeds
- 1 tsp Salt
- ¼ tsp Asafoetida
- Water for kneading
- Oil; for frying
In a mixing bowl, combine rice flour, gram flour, salt, red chilli powder, sesame seeds and asafoetida.
Then add water and knead it into a smooth dough.
Put this dough into the murukku press and release portions of the dough into hot oil.
Fry them on medium to high heat. Flip them when they are done on one side.
Remove them when they slightly change colour and become crispy.
Once they cool, you can store them in an air tight jar.
