  • Pan for frying

  • Slotted Spoon

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Cups Rice Flour
  • Cup Besan (Gram Flour)
  • 2 tbsp Butter; for room temperature
  • tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
  • 2 tsp Sesame Seeds
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • ¼ tsp Asafoetida
  • Water for kneading
  • Oil; for frying

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine rice flour, gram flour, salt, red chilli powder, sesame seeds and asafoetida.
  • Then add water and knead it into a smooth dough.
  • Put this dough into the murukku press and release portions of the dough into hot oil.
  • Fry them on medium to high heat. Flip them when they are done on one side.
  • Remove them when they slightly change colour and become crispy.
  • Once they cool, you can store them in an air tight jar.
