Boil milk in a thick-bottomed pan, at medium heat, for about 5 minutes.
Add saffron strands and cardamom powder. Continue boiling.
In another pan, fry the broken vermicelli in 2 tbsp of ghee.
Once fried, add it to the boiling milk.
In the same pan, fry the nuts with 1 tbsp of ghee.
Once done, add it to the boiling milk.
Add sugar and cook for another 5 minutes. Stir in between to ensure the milk doesn´t stick to the pan.
Turn off the heat. Add Kewda water and mix. Serve hot.
