Sour Cream Dip
Today’s recipe, Sour Cream Dip, is a delicious dip that pairs perfectly with Nachos. It can also be used as a spread and in sandwich recipes. Recently, when I made cheesy Nachos for a small party at home, I paired them with this easy-to-make, delicious dip. The recipe is quite easy, and this dip can be prepared in under 5 minutes.

Now, let’s start with the recipe for Sour Cream Dip.
Equipment Needed:
- Mixing bowl
- Knives and Chopping board
Ingredients for Sour Cream Dip:
- 200 gm Sour Cream
- 2 tbsp Greek Yoghurt
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
- ½ tsp Salt
- ¼ tsp White Pepper Powder
- 2-3 Tbsp Finely Chopped Pickled Gherkins
- Finely Chopped Coriander leaves and Paprika Powder for garnishing
Method to make Sour Cream Dip:
- Whisk together sour cream and Greek yoghurt.

- Add chopped pickled gherkins. Mix.

- Add salt, lemon juice and white pepper powder. Mix.

- Garnish with finely chopped fresh coriander leaves and paprika powder, and serve.

Ingredient Sourcing in Germany:
- Sour Cream: Called Sauresahne in German. Available in the refrigerator section of supermarkets.
- Greek Yoghurt: Called griechischer Joghurt in German. Both Full-fat and low-fat versions are available in the refrigerator section of supermarkets.
- Lemon: Called Zitrone in German. Available in the fresh vegetables section of supermarkets. Also comes in bottles.
- Salt: Called Salz in German. Read my article about Salt in German Supermarkets.
- White Pepper Powder: Called weißer Pfeffer gemahlen. Available in the spices section in supermarkets.
- Pickled Gherkins: Called Gurken. It comes in jars. It looks like this:

- Coriander leaves: Easily available in Indian and Turkish stores. Also available in some supermarkets.
- Paprika Powder: Called gemahlene Paprika. Availabe in the prices section of sumerkarkets. It looks like this.
