Recipe for Mooli ka Salad
Mooli Ka Salad is a salad recipe in which radish is grated and combined with a few other ingredients to make a delicious salad. This salad can be eaten as is or as an accompaniment to Dal Chawal ( Rice with lentils) or any other gravy and roti.
Here goes the recipe:
Ingredients for Mooli Ka Salad:
1. Radish ( grated): About 10-12 ( I have used the ones with the pink skin)
2. Roasted Peanut powder ( coarsely ground): 4 tbsp
3. Roasted Sesame Powder: 1 tablespoon
4. Green chilis ( finely chopped): 2
5. Salt: About 1/2 tsp
6. Fresh coriander ( finely chopped) :3-4 strands
Recipe for Mooli Ka Salad:
- Add all the ingredients to the salad bowl.
- Mix well.
Easy to make, simple yet delicious Mooli Ka Salad is ready!
Some additional notes:
- I have used pink radishes for this recipe. You can use any radish that is locally available.
- You can make peanut and sesame powder in larger quantities and store them in an airtight container. That way, you can use them in various recipes. It stays good for three months.
- Always roast peanuts and sesame seeds on low to medium heat and by constantly mixing so they don’t burn.
- If you find roasting peanuts and sesame tedious, buy roasted peanuts and sesame seeds from the shop and coarsely grind them at home.

- 1 tbsp Roasted Sesame Powder
- 2 Finely Chopped Green Chilies
- 3-4 Strands Fresh Coriander Leaves
- 1/2 tsp Salt
