Indian Style Chicken Wraps

Indian Style Chicken Wraps

Today’s recipe is a quick and easy Chicken wrap made the Indian way. I use this recipe for my children’s lunch box. This is a perfect recipe for busy mornings because a part of the preparation can be done the previous night. The preparation of this wrap is done in two steps. Step 1 is Preparing the marinade, and Step 2 is Frying the chicken. I usually do step 1 the previous night. I marinate the chicken, cover it and leave it overnight in the fridge. With time, all the spices seep into the chicken, making it flavorful. The following day, I lightly toast the tortillas, pan-fry the chicken, wrap the chicken in tortillas and grill the tortilla wraps in a sandwich maker.

If you prepare the marinade the previous night, all you need is 10-12 minutes in the morning to prepare these wraps. Since chicken breast cooks very fast, it becomes fully done in about 5-8 minutes when fried on high heat.

Although these wraps taste best when hot, the tortilla stays soft, and the chicken inside stays juicy and delicious even after becoming cold. It is easy to eat and, therefore, perfect to carry in a lunch box. It is delicious, filling, and great in the lunch box.

You can make a vegetarian version of these wraps by replacing chicken with paneer or tofu.

If you don’t wish to use all the chicken in one go, take the amount you need and leave the rest in the fridge.

For making Indian Style Chicken Wrap, all you need is a mixing bowl to marinate the chicken. If you plan to marinate the chicken and leave it in the fridge, I would suggest you use a bowl with a lid. In addition, you need a pan for frying the chicken, knives, a cutting board, and a sandwich maker.

All the ingredients are easily available in supermarkets. I have made a mention of ingredient availability in Germany after the ingredients list.
