Salmon Cutlets
Salmon has recently become a regular part of our meals. Thanks to Germany’s proximity to the North Sea, from where most of the world’s salmon is obtained, fresh salmon is easily available in supermarkets in Germany.

I have already shared the recipes for Salmon and Arugula Pasta & Pan Seared Salmon with Lemon Butter Sauce and Pan Seared Salmon with Butter Garlic Sauce. If you are a salmon lover, you might want to check them out.

Today’s recipe is Salmon Cutlets. Like other salmon recipes, this one is easy to make and ready in under 30 minutes. If you have a food processor, it makes many dishes like this one, which involves a whole lot of cutting and chopping, quite easy and quick.

- Salmon: It is called Lachsfillet. It is easily available in supermarkets. Always check the date before buying. I used this one from Aldi.

- Puffed Amaranth: This is called gepufftes Amaranth. I bought it from Alnatura. You can check DM and other Bio shops for it.

- Spices: I used Kashmiri Red Chili Powder, which I bought from an Indian shop. I also used cumin powder, which I prepared by roasting cumin seeds in a pan and grinding them. I bought cumin seeds from an Indian shop. Cumin seeds are called Kreuzkummel in German. They are also available in some supermarkets.
- Salad: The salad greens shown in the picture are called Wildkräutersalat. I bought a 125-gram pack from Rewe, which is good for four servings.
- Oil: I used cold-pressed canola oil, called Rapsöl in German. You can read more about different types of oil available in supermarkets here.
