8 Asparagus Recipes you can try in your kitchen this Spring Season
Spring is synonymous with Asparagus in Germany. During this time, farmers’ markets, farm shops and supermarkets are flooded with both white and green asparagus. Since this seasonal and regional vegetable is popularly used in German cuisine, it finds its place in many German dishes.

Local farms also organise events like Spargelfest, a festival celebrating the harvest of this vegetable and giving visitors a taste of various delicacies made with asparagus. Farms also allow visitors to harvest asparagus by organising ‘Spargel selber stechen’, meaning you can cut asparagus yourself and buy what you harvest.

Asparagus is a low-calorie, high-fibre vegetable rich in Vitamins A and E. It can be easily incorporated into everyday meals.
Today, I am sharing my 8 tried-and-tested asparagus recipes. There are many more recipes in which you can include asparagus, such as in your salads and stir-fries. When I try new recipes, I will add them to this list. So, watch this space for more.
