Recipe for Veg and Quark Sandwich

After trying out quark sandwiches some days back in my kitchen and absolutely loving the taste, I combined quark with vegetables and a few Indian spices to make a Veg and Quark Sandwich. The result was great, so I have decided to share the recipe with my readers. It is a quick and easy recipe and great for carrying in school/office tiffin or picnics. Quark is high in protein and can be included in your diet, especially if you are a vegetarian.

Let’s start.

Ingredients needed to make Veg and Quark Sandwiches:

  • Bread Slices
  • 100 gm Spinach; washed and finely chopped
  • 2 Medium-sized carrots; grated
  • 6 Medium-sized Potatoes; boiled and peeled
  • 250 gm Russian Quark
  • Salt; to taste
  • 1½ tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin Powder
  • 1 tsp Dry Mango Powder
  • ½ tsp Garam Masala Powder
  • ¾ tsp Black Pepper Powder
  • 2 Cardamoms, Crushed
  • Butter; to apply on the sandwiches

Method to make Veg and Quark Sandwiches:

  • Combine spinach, carrots, potatoes and quark in a mixing bowl.

  • Add salt, Kashmiri red chilli powder, dry mango powder, garam masala, cumin powder, black pepper powder and cardamom powder.

  • Mix everything well.

  • Apply butter to two slices of bread. Put a generous amount of the mixture between the slices such that the buttered side is outside.

  • Toast it in a sandwich maker.

  • Serve hot.

Ingredients

Instructions
 

  • Combine spinach, carrots, potatoes and quark in a mixing bowl.
  • Add salt, Kashmiri red chilli powder, dry mango powder, garam masala, cumin powder, black pepper powder and cardamom powder.
  • Mix everything well.
  • Apply butter on 2 slices of bread. Put a generous amount of the mixture between the slices such that the buttered side is outside.
  • Toast it in a sandwich maker.
  • Serve hot.
